Typically my work is in pairs and groupings, so this piece is a second go at the Spiral Cut Princess Anne Honey Baked Ham . Through these two pieces I am also thinking about our expectations and traditions when sitting down to a holiday dinner. During these family gatherings there is no room for experimentation in the kitchen. For me, this piece specifically brings to mind the year that my Mother fixed salmon for Thanksgiving. My Aunt was so horrified that she sent her husband to KFC for chicken. This piece was shown at the MOMO Gallery in Kansas City, 2005.
